Building transport trolleys with high load-carrying capacities is now easier than ever when using Swivel and Fixed Castors from item.
The new models satisfy the high requirements in industry and skilled trades. The robust Castors, available in diameters D100, D125, D160 and D200, are easy-running and ideally suited to typical transport tasks. Each can be supplied as a Swivel Castor, Swivel Castor with double-brake or a Fixed Castor – and each in a standard and an ESD-safe design. Stable ball bearings and wheel bodies made of polyamide 6 ensure the Castors provide a long service life.
The tyre of the wheels consists of high-grade, abrasion-resistant polyurethane.
The integrated Adapter Plate with four holes provides a stable fixing. Operating forces are reliably transmitted to the frame. Fastening Set 8 for Castor swivel/fixed 140×110 is to be used for installation purposes.
The Swivel Castor with double-brake uses a foot-operated catch to lock the wheel in a specific position and direction so that it cannot move. If a trolley with four Swivel Castors is to be used in a train with other trolleys, the swivelling action of the castors on one axis must be locked. The optional Swivel Lock is used for this purpose and can also be retrofitted.
Swivel and Fixed Castors can be fixed to frames made using Profiles 8 via the four holes in the integrated connecting plate.
Alternatively, the Castors can be fixed to two parallel Profiles 8 D30.
These tubes from Profile Tube System D30 feature an integral Line 8 groove.
